So we got Sherlock and at 4 years old is currently out biggest snake!
The shop gave us adult mice for him but they hardly left a bump. He fed like a champ though! Dime wasn't too pleased with the news XD

Means you need to update your sig Zoe ! He is gorgeous. I love his colours and markings and bet they're even better in real life. At 4yrs old and that size I'm not surprised an adult mouse doesn't leave a bump. By then corns have virtually stopped growing so only need enough food to maintain themselves. It would be a good idea to weigh him and, going by that, work out how often to feed him, whether he should still be fed weekly, or stretched to every 10 days or even fortnightly.
Am loving what looks like a crocodile in Dime's viv, although I've been a snake owner too long because my immediate thought was I'd hate to have to clean poo off it !

Oh, he's beautiful! My favourite colours - orange an yellow! :-)
And Kellog, I too noticed the croc , and yes, my first thought also was - that's cool, but how on earth would you get a poop off that? But, maybe Dimebag just doesn't do a poo on his furry mate :-) ( Sorry , long day at work... ) |

Thanks everyone! He is a stunner! A little yellow in person and a lovely white belly! It's great finally having some contrast to the wee ones!
And dime has yet to poo on his teddy preferring to save them for whenever we get him out ( but saying that now he'll probably go and do it lol) He loved curling round it as a baby so he now uses it as a pillow when he's spying on us!! :) |
