Hi,

Putting my viv together and wondered if there is a preferable type of wood / branch for a corn snake ?

Just don't use pine, as it is poisonous to snakes.

think most hard woods are fine to use. Mopani wood and snad blasted grape vines which you get in shops is fine also.

My favourite kind of wood is "free"...

After big windy storms I'll go out wandering the parks and green spaces looking for storm downed branches.

You do have to have some confidence in your ability to ID whatever you find, most of whats in my AO is Oak and Maple so it's not that tough... YMMV

Fruit tree wood is also safe so if you have any friends/neighbours with trees they intend to prune back you can score some goodies.

Most of my snakes love to climb Jason, no-one ever told them they aren't supposed to be arboreal .
