We picked him up yesterday, the owner was great and spent a lot of time helping us and showing us some of his collection. This is the photo he sent me as Hermes is now in his rub and off limits for a week :( But if it helps him settle in then that is great. I have a feeling that this may be the start of something!

Hermes is gorgeous Hilly . I'm glad the owner spent time with you, it will have reassured them that he's going to a good home .
Talk about being the start of something, how long is it since you got your first snake and now you've got your second ??!!

Thanks for the welcomes. Hermes has had his first meal with us and has now gone into blue so will have to wait to hold him.... He will have at least had time to settle in. He eyes were opaque on Saturday so hopefully within the week he should be all shiny again. He seems to be very quiet so leaving him to do his thing.

So glad Hermes ate for you . It's always a relief getting that first feed out of the way. And soon you're going to have your first shed with him! Getting the 'firsts' out of the way quickly . It is frustrating about having to delay handling him but you're right that it's giving him time to settle in and you've got years of handling ahead of you.
Hope he sheds ok.
