Meet Lumpy Space Princess. Bonus points if you can tell me where thats from XD
She was a trade for one of my corn hatchies, you can probably see why we names her what we did. Unfortunately I wasn't there when she was dropped off otherwise I would have told the guy no, and now he's ignoring me when I try to contact him for her history to find out if she's always been lumpy :/ Other half has fallen in love, so probably not going to keep trying to send her back and get the corn back, but still pretty annoyed at the situation. She has quite an attitude but since she's essentially a pet rock she just sits there simmering quietly lol |

Um.... adventure time.... I have young kids
And it is WEIRD but curiously addictive....
Poor little thing - is she just underweight? Our hoggy when not eaten for a bit gets this kind of hollow like bit on 1 side but not the other. Then he eats for a bit and it disappears as he fattens up... then he fasts again lol. |

Huh, hadn't thought of that o.O I was told she was a good eater, but she refused yesterday (although she is still settling in). It's weird, like her ribs just turn in. They're still there, but definitely have an inward curve to them. Guess I'll have to see when she finally does eat... |

Maybe just deformed ribs,or shorter ribs in that area.wouldn't the skin/ fat still carry on,and not just stop at that point. She may not have been a super feeder like they said.Once she starts eating with you,the area might fill out alittle. |

She hasn't got a lot of fat on her. The ribs aren't shorter, I can feel them and with very gentle pressure on her belly she looks normal. Guess it's a waiting game now... |

Lol at LSP, I love Adventure Time! Hmm, do her ribs feel a different shape in that area. Wondering whether she may have got trapped in something at some point perhaps? |

Yes, they do feel different. I had a vague theory cos the guy I got her from said she bit his brother. Perhaps the brother grabbed her and tried to pull her off, rather than just running her under water...she has had a few goes at me, always misses, but royals do have quite a lot more tooth than corns, wouldnt fancy a bite from her lol.
I'm going to feed her up a bit and see how she goes, she's a bit underweight anyway (around 60g, I think the average for her age is 85g or so). Doesn't help that she doesn't seem to like food, I've assist fed once which went surprisingly smoothly. After baby corns, a baby royal is a doddle. |

lovely quirky girl, with regards to feeding we found with the male royal at work, he won't eat unless it is dark and the rat has been warmed through, just a thought, good luck with her |
