Hi All

Willow is now weighing in at about 55g and doing well, I want to up her feed off large fuzzies as they dont leave all that much of a bump, but the shops near me don't have hoppers/fluffs. The shop said that most of her customers double fed fuzzies until their snakes were ready for smalls. I did this tonight for her feed and she seemed happy enough, but are there any problems with this aproach?

Thanks Red.

The shop is right, if you can't get hoppers then double fuzzies will do the job It's just to get her big enough to cope with smalls then she should be fine to up to those

You can always combine fuzzy and pinkie, or a small and large fuzzy. I was lucky our shop did sell hoppers when mine were little - but they've stopped stocking them now - they recon it wasn't worth it, as the snakes won't stay on them that long. I've also seen some small mice, that were smaller than some hoppers, so I can see their point.

My local reptile shop doesn't sell hoppers so I have asked for some small, small mice- usually the ones which are thinner than the usual but just as long if that makes sense.
