Hi, I bought my first candycane corn snake 2 weeks ago, and on the sheet i got with her it said her last shed was on the 8th of august, and since she only hatched in june, im worried that 2 months is a lot without shedding for a young snake?
She has pink eyes anyway so i cant see any cloudiness, but there is a black mark on each eye that im sure wasnt there when i got her. And i cant see any other signs of going into shed.
I gave her a bath earlier for around 5 minutes because i heard it could help future sheds.
Has anyone got any advice or anything for me please? Thanks

Don't worry, they shed when they shed and as they grow. As long as she's eating ok and putting on weight it will come naturally. They are all different, some grow more quickly, some need moist hides, some don't! Nothing to worry about.

Regurging can be a sign of imminent shed, so it might be that she's in blue (in which case you should notice her skin becoming paler and duller soon) but it can be a sign of other problems also. In any case, don't feed her for the next ten days at least, even if she does shed, then try a smaller than normal meal. If she keeps it down, great! If not it might be worth investigating what's wrong, possibly with a trip to the vets. Has anything changed recently, such as the temps, how much she's disturbed, or anything really? If so that can explain the regurge. One thing I would say is that if you become certain she's in blue during the ten days off food, then don't feed her 'til she sheds, or she's more likely to regurge again.

As for the not shedding, I wouldn't worry about it; they're pretty variable about when they shed :)

My babies hatched around 1st-7th august, and only now are some of them having their second shed. Those are only the ones that eat like pigs. The smaller ones are showing no signs of shedding yet, so don't worry about it. As for the regurge, Coal is right in that you shouldn't feed her for 10 days, it allows her stomach to settle. Check all your temperatures are correct (28-30 degrees celcius for the hot side, 21-22 for the cold side), check she has plenty of hides so that she doesn't feel stressed and has somewhere safe to go.

You shouldn't find it too hard to notice when she's blue. The eyes will go cloudy pink for a few days, and the belly scales will appear dull will a blue/pink sheen. The red parts will appear purple ish, when I fist saw Diego my amel in blue, I thought he had died o.O. Don't handle her during this time since she won't be able to see as well, but it would be a god idea to add a moist hide (a hide with damp sphagnum moss) or put a damp flannel on top of one of her hides. The increase in humidity will help her get it off in one piece.

Her belly scales are light pink anyway, theres not much colour but in the light it does shine blueish?
And where can i get the damp moss from?
Ive heard some people say you can spray a little water on the hot side to raise humidity?

I've always found it surprisingly hard to find sphagnum moss for some weird reason, so what I do instead is put a thick pad of damp (but not soaking) tissue on a small Tupperware lid under one half of his favourite hide - he's shed perfectly every time so far :)
