Hello just wandering what people would advise to feed a Taiwan beauty Loki if on 2 rat pinkies at the moment and taking fine...partner bought rat fluffs yday as I assumed would go from 2 pinkies to fluffs...but the rat fluff is bigger than I expected lol...I was told to try and keep on rats as if put on nice may be difficult to then swap back?

mice is always better nutritionally speaking as rats are more fatty.

yeah see i was aware of that...but i know when they are adults taiwanese beautys should be on large rats. the place i got him from said it best to start rats from young age as harder to swap them over when they are older. So now i dont know whether to feed mice fuzzies, or continue with rat pinks until can take the rat fluff.

Not having a go or anything scary, but to say mice are better than rats is not correct. Yes if you are talking about a corn then it's better to feed adult mice than rat weaners as they need the calcium, but when it comes to a snake that will eat rats as an adult then it's better to get them on rats asap as you don't want to be feeding multiple mice when older if at all possible. Personally rubi I'd stick with the double pinks.for now. Chances are you could give a mouse and the snake would happily go back to rats later, but I'd rather not take the risk myself lol.

Ok then thank you I shall stick to the pinkies going witht the width rule I don't think he far of taking a rat fuzzie which looks thiner than the large mouse. However worried about the length lol.
