So I was handling Vortex, my rescue snake today and my cat was bothering me (he didn't even know I had her out) and ended up licking and nosing parts of my hands, it was after this in the places his nose had touched that Vortex put her face against it and then opened her mouth to bite I guess, but I pulled away each time, she's docile and slow to eat her normal food and I was just wondering if anyone else has had their snake do the same? I usually keep the cats out of my room while handling the snakes but he crept in after I'd left the room (with her in my arms) and came back.. So I was just curious if she might've thought that my hand in the areas that the cat had touched were food worthy?
It's the first time I've seen her do this, it was cute but I was quite certain she would've latched onto my hand if I hadn't pulled away... and I've never had a snake latch onto my hand before, is there a trick to getting them off or do you just have to wait for them to remove themselves?
I've only owned corns since Dec 12 when I got Fiesty for Christmas (He turned 1 two months ago) and got Vortex on Easter this year but she's about 2yrs old.
