hi everyone I am thinking about breeding my own mice now that my collection has grown and wondered if anyone else does this. I have a few question regarding the law and if its legal to humanely kill the mice before feeding them to my snakes. I will not be feeding any live as I agree that it is inhumane. I have also been told that co2 is the best way to go but am unsure on the legal side of doing this. this is not something that I am doing just now as I wanted to find out the do's and don'ts first. thank you euan |

I found an internet supplier that sell them so cheap that i'm not sure it's worth breeding my own, 8 snake worth anyway. Pinkys are 16p other mice/rats/chicks are less than half shop prices, plus I don't have the room. |

euan. if u only have a few snakes its really not worth it. u will end up over run with them. so unless u have a way to get rid of surplus i wouldnt bother.
but if u do decide to. if your planning to feed freshly killed u can go one of 2 ways cervical dislocation or buy a priest from a fly fishing shop |

I dont judge those that do, but i know i couldnt do it, so i shouldnt be surprised if you are offering live mice soon if you cant kill them? lol |

Yep :) Might cost you more to,But you'll no what they've been fed and overall quality should be better.
But for a small collection it's not really worth it,Plus you might find yourself having to find buyers for surplus mice :) |
