Hi hoping you might be able to give me some tips got home from work today and rubi is missing small bit of aspen got caught in the runner and I didnt realise :(

I have torn the living room/kitchen apart (doors to those rooms are closed so hoping she hasn't gone out of rooms), although there are holes in Wales she could get into .

Also set a bottle trap up along skirting board in room was due a feed today.

Main concern however is my cat am worried that if he sees her will attack/try to play with her..

What else can I do?

How much hope should I hold for her return?

Hope you fine her, we have had a corn escape at work and he turned up just under a week later, he was in the door frame so even if you look at some thing and think "no way they could have gotten in there" check anyway!!

Oh poor you!try not to worry-our Fluffy had a brief spell as a 'Liberty Snake' he came back on dinner day and attached himself to my hand as I was putting a nice juicy mouse in with Thumper
afraid I don't know much about cats-maybe keep it too well fed to worry about Ruby?

Not yet bo :( Have left the viv open so can get to the bowl in there, there the cat bowl in kitchen and will put one behind sofa.. Going to see if can take it apart later as think most likely place will be as very close to the viv safe and secure... Just pulled all the bottoms of kitchen units of to see but not under there (can't get the backs off to check them), not helped my confidence thought as couple of piping routes she could have completly escaped threw. Got three bottle traps set up will change mice tonight (have to be fuzzier as all I got) but going to brain then she due a fees so will hopefully come out for one....going to put flour down tonight as well and once little one it bed will sit quietly in dark and hope I spot her

good question, im not to sure myself. Personally i would have thought short distanced. They smell with the tongue, im not sure how far that radius of smell goes though... sorry
Well happy success story to keep your hopes up - guy lost his snow corn for three and a half years...then found her, granted yes she had a few war wounds (scars from eating live food) but she was really healthy considering, no weight issues :)
