Charlie has been in hiding for a month I presumed he was getting ready to molt. Sunday morning I notice he had been out during the night as he had tipped his water dish over a little and moved some substrate about. So last night I thought I would put one cockroach in with him. Well this morning I checked on him and I can not see the roach anywhere. On looking into his flower pot, which is where he has been hiding, I could see two legs which looked pretty big and a very small abdomen. To the right of him inside his flower pot is what appears to be a molt Now whether he molted over night or whether he molted days ago I do not know. It looks as though he probably ate the roach in his flower pot as the substrate is disturbed quite a bit in his flower pot burrow so he could have kicked the molt to the side. He has kind of made a ledge in his flower pot which he tends to sit under so it is impossible to get a really good look in his flower pot. I am little concerned over feeding now though. Should I continue to put roach in every 5 days like I use to? I don't want to cause him any problems as I know they should not eat straight after molting as they need to harden. He is still hiding and has not been out like he use to. He use to come out of his flower pot and look for food during the day but at present is not displaying any of his usual behavior. I have left the molt in as anything going near his flower pot makes him attack and I do not want him to damage himself. Sorry for the rambling , just want to get things right for him.
