hey me my friends corns have both bred in the past two years and we thought wed give them a miss this year, but as it happens they seem to have fell pregnant, but there is no way they could have bred at all since we don't have the males this year. is it likely that these eggs will still be fertile? |

I think itt is possible, I have heard of it happening (rumours mostly, nothing proven enough to make me certain of it). But I think it is very unlikely and the eggs are more likely to be infertile/slugs. |

Females can retain sperm but after a year it will have lost a lot of its potency. In theory I suppose she could still lay fertile eggs but its very unlikely. |

Well. I had Rufus Jan 26th last year, he had come from a pet shop where he had been a fair few months alone and on may 24th he laid 8 eggs. She is now known as Rubi! One egg hatched, the rest failed to make it but were nearly properly formed little snakies! |

ok but we have both of the snakes pregnant, 12 eggs for one, and around 17 eggs in the other, but the snake with 12 eggs bred 3 times last year and only layed 18 eggs, no double clutch which is how many she layed the year before with only one breeding, does it sound possible that they could be fertile? |

They could be just as much they might not be. The only way to know is once theyve been laid |
