So, was about to take a picture of Saphira constricting her (already dead) prey

And her indignant look afterwards, for catching her like that

Clearly the easiest way to eat...

A close up of Saphira's eye

And her stitches - part of them fell out already, still waiting for the rest

Jake the Pantherophis Constrictor

And needs some time to recuperate from the constricting

He's always still hungry after eating, so he went looking for some more (even though I was all out)

And a top view

Back in his viv

Lilith having a fuz

Top view of her head

Her body

And stretched out a little

Aurora feeding. Love how much more orange she's getting with each shed

Nomnomnom

With flash

Nash nomming away

"Mwhat?"

*gulp*

Good thing I never let them out of my sight when feeding

Exploring to find more food together

And a few more together

She had an oviduct prolapse while laying eggs :( Unfortunately all the eggs went bad too, and she won't be able to breed anymore in the future. Shame, cause I wouldn't mind having 12 more little Saphiras. She's so gentle! :D |

Ah, on a sidenote - she's in blue here. It will be her 4th shed since the prolapse - the wound made her shed much more often than usual. |

Bet you couldn't believe your eyes when you got that first shot , it really is amazing....and the 'look' on her face in the next pic ! It's good to see how well she's doing after everything she's been through . It's quite remarkable the way they 'heal themselves' by shedding more often when necessary.
Fantastic coil pics and I really like the one of just Lilith's body, shows her markings and colour beautifully. I must admit I do love Nash ....and the pics of his face are brilliant. They show how flexible snakes' jaws are, being slightly 'crooked'....which just gives him such an endearing look .
Thanks so much for sharing these.

Thanks for your lovely reactions! :)
Kellog - I was very surprised indeed! It was such a short moment that I didn't even see it on the screen when I pushed the button, but only afterwards when I saw the preview of the picture :D As for Saphira doing well, you can't believe how relieved I am that she's doing well. :)
As for everyone loving / wanting Nash - I am sooo happy with that little guy. I bought him from a small hobbyist breeder (I know that officially everyone's a hobbyist, but I they only sold like 10 corn hatchlings there) who wasn't even sure what he was. All he knew was that he came from an anery x amel. I had the choice between him or his brother, who was a little wilder. I decided to go for little Nash, even though his sibling was a bit more colourful at the time. Since then I haven't regretted the choice once, as he has been nothing but wonderful. He is possibly the most relaxed snake I have, and that is quite something if you realize how laid back Saphira and Aurora are :). Couldn't be happier, even if he is a relatively common morph! :D |

Indeed you can! I'm quite pleased with that, I had never actually gotten a shot where you could see the teeth :D |
