every reptile has a DUTY to honour its servants with a good Pooping
I was blessed with a stinky turd in my coat pocket-needless to say it made its presence felt later in the day with a delightful essence of muck spreader bouquet

Well put mj .

I'm afraid it's something you can't avoid happening Helen, unless you don't handle Sid at all . It's something my OH and son didn't think of when they first decided to get a snake....maybe they thought you could house-train them . Once they'd experienced what you have they backed off handling and left it all to me .....which makes them my snakes !

You'll soon learn the signs....snake going still, lifting tail slightly, just enough for you to get kitchen roll in place ready to 'catch' what comes out ....but you have to move fast.

Xxx

Thankfully ive had enough animals over the years to accept that i may and probably will get pooped on so it doesnt put me off handling which is good.

I honestly didnt realise it would stink so much but the i suppose its what you get for eating dead mice

Im looking forward to realising the signs now so that me (and the cushion) dont get poo'd on again

I think Sid has definately christened me

It's a regular occurrence for me.. Although now I've learnt to recognise the signs and I'm prepared with a couple of bits of kitchen roll to catch it lol

Ember pooped up my sleeve when she was tiny, but other than that the only snake to poop on us - and quite regularly - is Corno!! I learnt the signs quite early on, but hubby never quite manages to notice in time lol :P

You are not alone XD.
I swear that the little blighter will only commence the poop countdown when I am not looking leaving my mere seconds to react.
At times I think the evil genius is laughing at me XD.

Be glad he's not like my Atlas. He's a 750g beast that poops at the worst possible times on a constant basis.
His favorite times are: when being handled, when in a feeding tank, immediately after a full tank clean out, in the water bowl after the water has been refilled. But hey, getting covered in snake poo is just what comes with the line of duty it seems

Our adult corn was recently exploring inside my teenage daughers hoodie. After a while she said she thought he was asleep as he was so still. Dale emerged shortly after having left a very large, stinky present all over her shoulder & down her back!
Of course pictures were taken before assistance was given & she's now banned all the snakes from clothes surfing.
