Been to work today as normal and came home with a gerbil we have been monitoring them for a few weeks as this little one seemed to isolated a lot and had been seen squabbling with one of the others (we have 4 altogether) Well today he had a small injury and on closer examination we found evidence that she was being bullied so we made the decision to remove her but as she is quite a young girl it seemed a shame for her to end up on her own, so I am going to attempt to pair bond her with my gerbil Pick. It will be done very gradually with me keeping a very close eye on things! So fingers crossed everything goes well. Here's a pic of little Drop (the group are called Rubbarb, custard, pear and drop) I will keep you all posted with how it goes.

Good luck I hope she gets on with your other gerbil. It can be so difficult to pair gerbils up or introduce them to new groups in my experience.

Yeah I have been doing lots of research, I am going to use the split cage method and take plenty of time. I am hoping because it's two single gerbils and neither have been alone for too long it might work out. Fingers crossed anyway, little Drop is quite young so hopefully it will work out.
