Got snuggles - a 9ne year old corn from a friend who was not looking after. She seems more than happy, and was taking 2 small mice a week, then she shed and went off food, after shedding she fed for a week then stopped eating we noticed she was shedding again, within 2 weeks..... since then, three weeks now she not interested in food, we tried leaving mouse in viv a few hours but still nothing. she seems happy in herself, and is active and loves sitting with us in front of tv, but not interested in mice. do we worry,. how long should we let her go before we do worry ?

How long have you had her. Is there any chance she's been near a male an could have some buns in the oven?.
main thing with non eaters is to chill out first of all they can go months without eating with little effect. This time of year snakes do tend to go off food due to breeding season. All you can do is offer food once a week until she decides to start eating again. Just keep an eye on here weight, only need to be concerned if she suddenly starts to loose weight. |

As a33272 has said, Terry, the important thing is to try not to worry. I know it's difficult and I went through this with my first corn, except he refused food from the moment I got him until 13 weeks later  ! That's when I found this forum and they explained what was going on and got me through it.
Keep offering her food on her normal feeding day, don't try to tempt her more often because it will just stress her out. This is a very good Guide to non feeding snakes and it gives you some ideas as to why she might not be eating and what you can try.
It does sound as though it may be down to the fact that its breeding season. Is she more active than normal? It also may be that she will lay slugs, infertile eggs. My Silvi has done that twice now. You can't do anything to stop it happening and, if it does, you can cross that bridge, with us, when you come to it.
As for weighing her, you might find it easier to put her in a shoebox, or something with a lid to keep her still. Put the shoebox on digital scales, put the scales to zero, add the snake and you get her weight. It is important to keep an eye on things like that, as well as dates of shed, feeding dates and what you feed her, any issues, etc.
I don't think it's worth trying anything else, as she is already on 2 small mice. You may find this VERY ROUGH guide to feeding worth a read.
