George is thriving in his new vivarium. He's taking two fluffs with ease. Minimal lump. He's 8 months old, unsure of weight but will weigh him in 48 hours. What's there to feed after 2x Fluffs?

Cheers folks

I'd just go up a size to small mice and see how he gets on. My feeling is that he'll be fine as long as they're no bigger than the maximum 1.5 times his widest part. Glad he's doing so well for you. It's always lovely to watch them grow and do well, although I think we all love those wee shoelaces.....

We have a range of sizes so get out a range of sized mice.We have one girl that was raised on rat pups, but I have just got her to take a small mouse by letting her have a pup first.Next time no pups!!
I try to feed by the one and a half thickness rule.

Thanks for advice all. Got loads of fluffs left too. But will move onto smalls. He's growing so fast I'm missing the increase.

Ditto. If he's used to 2 fluffs and they are not leaving much bump then you may well find a small is not big enough and he may actually need mediums - but obviously I'd try smalls first - just only buy 2 or 3 to see how you get on.

I am at the exact same stage as you where two of mine were on double fluffs so moved mine up to hoppers which turned out to be smalls. Was a tense moment when one of mine started eating but then moved back.... He was repositioning himself as the legs were in the way haha.

Ha I know it's scary how big of prey they can take. Think I've been a little to cautious. Will get some smalls :)

nothing wrong with being cautious, it's better to be cautious then offer something that's too big and cause a regurge. I found it very scary the first time I gave 8 a small! He's just moved onto mediums and probably could have done so before now :-)
