Goodness me, she looks huge until the photo of her against your fingers comes up! Awesome detail of those hairs, I didn't realise they had hairs like that. Can they use them as an irritant like spiders do? Very interesting to see in close up....thanks for sharing. |

Haha yep her size is deceiving till there's something as a comparison! Hopefully she'll be a bit bigger soon once she's waltzed out of her skin I'm not sure on the hairs, they may just put predators off with the way they feel perhaps. She could get to around 5 inches (I say she, but she may be a he lol) |

Hahahahaha, giant? She's very cool though, I'd be interested to see photos after she's shed as a comparison. |

I would guess that the hairs are sensory, Like a cat's whiskers. |

Absolutely gorgeous - and the hair thing had me thinking, and I found this link
http://library.thinkquest.org/27858/prey_predators_parasites.htm
Which I found quite interesting with regards to Venom's hairs |

Yep, the hairs are most definitely sensory and in fact I'd had a conversation with someone about it last year but had a little brain fart....ok a massive one hahaha!! |
