Hi looking at getting Sheldon's "big boy viv" later in the year but as there are sooo many to choose from I was wondering what all you folk on here would recommend?? At the moment he is in a monkfield 18" terrainium and I would love to get a bigger version of this but they're not very high and Sheldon seems to love climbing so just looking for some suggestions, and how big a viv to get as I want it to be his forever home. |

Mine are in 3ft vivs. I've got things for them to use for climbing because they think they're tree pythons!! I've got Vivexotic and ND Aquatics vivs and get on well with both. I kept my Leopard Gecko in a Monkfield and, as much as I like the design, I've now put her in a viv. Her Monkfield was just too low for her. She liked to climb on her hides and was hitting her head, poor girl! Do some research to see what's out there. Essex Reptiles appear to have some good priced vivs and Swell Reptiles are normally good, just for starters....... |

The bigger size monkfields are higher than the 18". I have the 24" one and it's 8" high. They are a good price on blue lizard too |

I like them for the safety factor I'm just about to move 22 month old Orlando from the monkfield into a big viv, only now feel he's big enough not to escape |

I love the fact that they seem to be escape proof!! not sure how long Sheldon will have left in his as it is rather small, but I really don't like the idea of putting him in big viv either.... just gonna have to do some more searching. if monkfield made them a fair bit higher then I would defo go for one of those, but as it is I just feel they aren't high enough I love the design of them tho |
