I've posted here as multiple uses :) I have a gecko with possible retained shed on her face. Researching in what to do, neosporin came up a lot, only apparently you can't buy it here. Is there an equivalent? |

I use shed aid. You can buy it at most rep shops. Try a sauna and a teeny bit of olive oil :) on a cotton bud and work it in x |

I spray the viv with warm water and make sure the moist hide is nice and warm as well that usually does the trick. |

Lol what I meant was get a cricket tub with kitchen roll in the bottom and warm water pop the gecko in and pop the lid on for 20 mins. Should gig up and help with the stuck shed. X we call its a gecko sauna :) x |

The shed (I think it's shed anyway) is on her snout, I've give her a "sauna" and rubbed it down with a cotton bud which she seemed to let me do, (she sat for ages really still lol) so when I researched it the Americans seem to say to rub a bit of neosporin on it and it'll lift whilst being safe. But as it has antibiotics in it seems you can't get it here without a prescription apparently. I will try another sauna tonight anyway and see if anything has changed. I added a bit more moisture to the damp hide anyway so we will see |
