Or as hubby descibes him - little wormy!! He constantly looks different colours as you move him around in the light - one minute all you can see is his all over iridescence, the next you can see his pretty little pattern coming through.

Thanks all!

Blackcat the males are much smaller than the females, and I believe a 2ft viv is supposed to be big enough for an adult male and that was my theory behind getting a male house and a male hognose, that the 2x 2ft vivs would fit nicely on top of Corno's 4ft one (we tend to spoil our snakes though, so whether we would go to a 3ft as an adult I don't know, will have to wait and see). Of course we don't actually know what sex Hermes is so just got to keep my fingers crossed lol! The females get bigger and it is said a 3ft viv is big enough (but again, that's said for corns and Corno is in her 4ft already ).

According to AC snakes the size ranges are Males 60 - 80cm : Females 80 - 140cm

Thanks scaly and smart bunny, I'll just go away for a while and research house snakes and see if a male might become a resident in my vx24

Thanks smart bunny, will go visit and research their needs
Keep the photos coming, Hermes is so pretty
Housie is a definate possibility but doubt a hoggie will find its way into my collection - too many horror stories of fussy feeders
