Hi!
Apologies for not introducing myself elsewhere but only using the forum as a means to an end.
Moving in with my partner but unfortunately my corn snake isn't allowed to stay.
Full set-up included, 3ft Viv, Heat Mat, Bowl, Caves, Plants etc.
Around 18 months old, have owned since he was a hatchling, sex unknown (always referred to it as a "he" though). Sold to me by a reptile centre as a blood red but I'm not convinced.
Located in Northampton, Will happily deliver if not too far away - else maybe meet halfway?
Would rather he went to someone with experience although would consider giving to someone as their first corn **if** you can get the backing of other forum members - basically no freebie hunters please.
Thanks!
Chris

Just to add - ignore the heat lamp in the viv. It was sold to me by the reptile centre when I bought everything. Apparently it was needed but he has been more than happy on the heat mat alone for the past 18 months.
There is also a digital thermometer.
Thanks again. |

Hi,
Yes there's a thermostat as well. There's also the small tank and the set of feeding tongues shown on top of the viv.
Thanks,
Chris

Thanks for clarifying!
I was unsure as I've seen pictures of blood reds and they all seemed to be near enough a single dark red. Not the patterns as per mine!

Is there some reason why you want him to go to somebody with experience? Is he a difficult feeder, a biter or something? I'm just asking to clarify for anyone interested. The more you can tell us about him the better chance you have of finding him the right home. |

Hi!
Thanks for the question,
No there's no problems with him, feeds fine, sheds fine and has never tried to bite.
"Experienced" was probably the wrong word to use - I'm just trying to avoid people seeing the word "free" and then deciding they want a snake!

Thanks,
He is lovely, if it wasn't for the OH refusing to live in the same house as a snake then he wouldn't be going anywhere!

He's a stunning snake Chris. Hope the right home is soon found. I do understand your concern with the 'use' of words!! |

he is lovely, i am working in Northampton as well at the moment and I am really tempted lol. I would need to know for sure about the sex though. As females can have complications and Id rather wait unitl i have to deal with that. I currently have an Amel Motley around the same age. |

Hi,
Well you're more than welcome to come and have a look.
I wasn't aware of any complications specifically regarding females unless you're planning on breeding. Saying that I'm sure there are many people on here a lot more knowledgeable than me so I may be wrong!
Thanks,
Chris

I wanted a good looking male to mate with my girl when she is older and bigger. I could meet you at south mimms if you are interested Saturday afternoon and i would be happy to give you some fuel money? PM me if you are interested Thanks Sean |

Hi Sean,
Thanks for the interest.
I can't guarantee he's actually a "he" - I haven't had him sexed.
I'd happily meet you at south mimms but can't do Saturday I'm afraid. I could do Sunday evening around 7 if that's any good?
Don't worry about fuel money - I feel bad enough getting rid of him anyway, would make it worse if I was accepting money for him - I believe you can donate to this forum though? Maybe £10 donation as good will?
Thanks
Chris |

Hi All,
Thanks for the interest but he was picked up by Rich this evening. He has gone to a good home with an experienced keeper.
All the best.
