In July 2011 I took a school trip to the Peruvian Amazon to help with ecology work. An amazing time and I thought that you might be interested in these photos of a Boa found on a transect through the jungle.

On the forrest floor showing its camouflage

Picked up by (L to R) the local guide, a Peruvian Uni student and the Canadian rep for the company we went with

I am guessing it was 9 or 10 foot

It was not very happy about being handled

I so wish I was back there.
