A few photos of Snakie. 1st proper measure came out as 1 feet, 11.95 inches about 6 months old, very happy in his new viv, as you can see eats well. His on 2 fuzzys once a week (is this correct? ) or one fuzzy and one rat pup, I heard rat pup is more nutritious then fuzzys. Any one know if this is true?

Lovely snake, love your tank set up and tend to agree with others regards the length - I'd say longer than 12" |

That is a fab viv!
I think people are misreading your 1st post though - you are measuring him as 1ft AND 11.95 inches I believe? I think others are reading it as 1ft OR 11.95 inches ;)
In that photo with the phone - has he already swallowed one fuzzy and just swalloed the second? If so it may be time to up a feed size as that's no much of a bump, and 1 small (or even a medium if those are large fuzzies?) may be better than 2 fuzzies. |

@smart bunny yes re-reading the posts ppl have mis-read the size he size is 1ft AND 11.95 inches.
as for the feed yr correct in the photo with the phone he has eaten 1 fuzzy and 1 rat pup. as far as i know the fuzzy was a large one so not sure as to what is the next size up.
Not sure what you mean by "and 1 small (or even a medium if those are large fuzzies?) may be better than 2 fuzzies." |

I just meant that it's better to feed 1 prey item then 2, so it might be better to move him up to small mice... but if you are used to feeding 2 large fuzzies then that will most likely be more than a small mouse, and therefore he may even be ready for mediums - but I'd still get smalls first so that you can judge then if 1 small is enough. I hope I've made my post a little clearer, didn't mean to confuse you, sorry! |
