Hello, I got my first Corn snake last Wednesday and She* is getting on well, I believe she is a rare or morph species? But I'm not 100% so a bit of info would be gratefully appreciated. She was fed the day i brought her by the breeder and I believe she is around 7 months old. Any questions or tips welcome, as I'm not very experienced when it comes to snakes, Although I did used to keep Emperor Scorpions about 2 years ago.
*I believe my snakes a girl due to the tail suddenly going thin and not gradually like a male does?
Anyway here are some pictures;
Thanks. |

Hi and welcome. What a pretty little snake. Have a look at the caresheet, via the homepage, for loads of great information. You could also browse the stickies and past posts for loads of tips and snake care. What's your little called? |

Wow, didn't expect a reply that quickly! I've been reading the care sheets and stickies and I have a fairly good idea of how it all works, just putting it into practice really. I haven't decided on a name yet, any ideas? |

Aww she's lovely, congrats :D
Agree on her looking to be a normal motley (ie normal colouring but motley so no belly chequers and the kind of joined up saddles on the first part of her body). Not exactly rare, but not the standard pattern either :) |

Thanks for helping me clear that one up. As she was fed last Wednesday should I feed her every two weeks or one week? |

As smart bunny said feed every week (or even every 5 days) at this age/size. She is a lovely looking snake, sorry no help with names - some of mine were nameless for months before I could think of suitable names. |
