I've been reading articles and chatting with people who tell me that tap water (due to the chlorine & heavy metals) is bad for corn snakes' health over time. That I should use only bottled, filtered or water conditioners like these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0002AR2B8

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Exo-Terra-PT1976-Aquatize-100ml/dp/B0002AR2CC/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1360396485&sr=1-1

What do you think? Is it necessary in Britain? is our water filled with all these nasties and heavy metals etc?

I wouldn't think it's necessary in Britain, unless you're in area where you know the water's especially bad... I use tap water, no probs.

Same :P besides, tap water is probably better most the time than anything they drink in the wild. After 13 years, I don't see any ill effects to my old snakes health and I'm sure others will say the same :)

A very special super, duper thanks for K :3
