I couldn't be in when hubby got home (was at work) and he kept sending me texts telling me all about him head butting the tub etc, but then calming down as soon as he picked him up (to transfer him to his faun - when he snapped the pics) then burrowing all around his faun, I was so jealous!! Was really pleased that he's been exploring again since I got in so I've still got to see him :D If he's as active as all this it's going to be an even tougher week to not give in to temptaion to hold him lol. |

Thank you :)
OMG you guys are not kidding, he has been burrowing about all morning! It's fab actually being able to see a snake you've got rather than them being hidden in their hides all the time!
Hubby was not as aware of their feisty nature as I was, so was worried that we'd got a psycho snake when he went to pick him up - he would not stop striking and hissing and butting, and butted his hand when he put it in to remove the hide.... which the girl in the petshop was too nervous to get out but wanted back!!! Hubby was absolutely convinced he would get bitten. He was really worried at one point that we wouldn't be able to let him near our daughter, but when he got him out at home he instantly calmed straight down and has been a little charmer so far since.
The idea was to try to keep him a secret until next week, as our daughter would have paid no attention to an 'empty faun' but there was just no way she wouldn't notice him at some point scurrying about everywhere so we called her in when he was out - the resulting "is that a hoggy?... is that MY hoggy? *GASP*" was worth it! |
