Yep my boy shed tonight and I managed to witness it, well half of it lol. I'd been keeping a close eye on him but luckily it was the cat that drew my attention. So well pleased there, he now looks shiny new and the greyish tinge he had on his head has gone and been replaced with lovely colours. I'll get some pics up tomoz as I've just had to handle him to retrieve the shed and spot clean, which have didn't seem too happy about so I'm going to let him be for tonight but man I'm buzzing !!!

You're very lucky to have seen it, the hours I spent checking and watching and hiding to see mine, and only managed to see it twice in almost 2 years of snake keeping! Awesome to watch, isn't it?

Yer I must thank the cat though lol. Snakey did seem pleased he was being watched so I had to hide and peep.
I'd tried to measure him previously and though he was about 32/33 inches but on measuring the shed he's more like 40, so is the shed an accurate way or can it stretch ??
I can't wait to get him out tonight and get some pics of his new colours

Very cool you got to see it, I've only managed to see the last inch of one of my snake's shed normally although I have had Apollo shed in my hands in a flannel a couple of times near the beginning. Even when I stay up to wait for it, they do it the second I'm not looking! I think they're shy

Shed's stretch when they come off so they are not a very accurate way of measuring length.
I do love a nice shiny freshly shed snake, looking forward to pictures
