how often roughly, would a four month old snake be shedding?

It depends on how fast they are growing. I have four snakes around that age and they all shed once every 4-5 weeks It can vary, some shed more, some less.

1.0.0 horse
0.1.0 Golden retriever
1.4.0 Guinea pigs

I feed mine once every 5 days so they may be growing a little faster than yours but even snakes eating the same amount can grow at different rates
