As some of you will know,we lost our piggies this year to old age. I swore there'd be no more much to my daughters despair as I became allergic to them
So last weekend I took their old cage to the rescue I got them from as the woman that runs it is always in need of more space,I've been driving round with the sodding thing in my boot since the last pig died in July!

My daughter was in her element there and got to hold a week old baby.He was so well behaved! Not grown into his ears yet lol:

She also had a very long snuggle with this boy Oliver:

Anyway,I ended up ringing the rescue the following day and asking for my cage back and for Oliver too! My daughter has never got over the pigs we had,she used to cuddle them every day and has seemed lost since, kisses their photo goodnight every night. I've decided she's now old enough to take control of a piggies full care and as Oliver is one of the boars that doesn't get on with other pigs but loves cuddles he's the perfect Xmas pressie for her, plus he has the cutest little face I've ever seen! Once more our kitchen will be filled with squeaks lol

Oliver is a handsome chap. Good on you for taking in an older piggie. I know what you mean about squeaking. Ours have been moved outside, couldn't cope with four of them squeaking every time someone went into the kitchen lol, the noise was deafening. They do seem to enjoy snuggling down on your lap for the evening and really do seem to watch the t.v.

Cheers, yeah he was one in November. Our previous boys were about 1 and a half when we got them from the same rescue over 5 years ago so they had a good innings
My word,4 of them squeaking for the veg no wonder you were deafened! I've quite missed the squeaks lol, will be odd just having the one this time as I've always had pairs, but he'll be getting mollycoddled
Bought an indoor/outdoor run so she can let him run round in her room if she wants.

Awww, Oliver looks gorgeous! I do love piggies, I've had three in the past and they're such fab pets. I don't normally agree with getting pets for xmas but this seems like a well thought out, fantastic xmas surprise

He's gorgeous. I honestly can't say it was well thought out and planned, took a day to ask for him,but I was worried he'd be snatched up. After having pigs for the last 6 odd years I know what I'm getting myself into and how devoted to him my daughter will be though. She said earlier that she'd cry if she got a pig again (guess I'll have to get some tissues in lol)
I went back the rescue yesterday and brought the cage back, had another snuggle with him too Totally irresistible face!
