Can anyone who has used this method to sex their snake give their opinion on Trevor?
I'm thinking male what do you guys think?

Oh and he's only about 16 months old, I don't know if that makes a difference.

Is his vent the pale bit in the middle of the two dark bits? If so then my guess (very much a guess, I've only watched videos and read articles about sexing using candling) would be male. Hang on, I'll hold up my known female amel to the light and see how she compares.

Yeah, I think Trevor is a male. Just tried it with Aurora and it looks completely different to Trevor.

Having said that, it's not really a method I would rely on. Have you tried scale counting? That's another method which you can't really rely on but it has been right for the 5 snakes I have tried it with

Yea his vent is the pale bit inbetween. I've heard about the scale counting, But I don't mind either way what sex he is, i'm just intruiged, and as I gave him a male name and I refer to 'him' as a him lol. Thankyou for the replies

I'd say male - you might want to try candling from the side as well, sometimes makes it easier to spot :)

1.0 anery stripe (Nash)
1.0 hypo pewter (Loki)
1.0 bloodred het amel, charcoal, hypo, stripe 50% phet anery, lavender (Kasumi)
0.1 grey background normal het amel (Saphira)
0.1 tessera het amel, anery, stripe (Lilith)
0.1 amel (Aurora)
0.1 hypo bloodred het anery, charcoal, stripe 50% phet amel, lavender (Mara)

That shadow is one of the Hemipenis,, The shodow of the Vagina Penile Pockets are a much much smaller
