I had £7 left to spend on my Christmas from the OH, i intended to get myself Baileys chocs, decided i am waaaaaay to fat, My crestie is low on roaches, so made a sacrafice. I may regret it later though Least using that £7 towards them kinda makes them a bargain |

Creepy Chocolate Cockroach Treats
Ingredients
* Parchment paper
* 30 pecans halves
* 4-5 squares of dark chocolate (I used Ghirardelli 72% Twilight Delight)
* Chocolate Sprinkles
* Round Halloween colored sprinkles (white, orange, purple)
Directions
1. Pour about 1/2 cup or so of chocolate sprinkles and 1/4 cup of colored sprinkles into two separate, shallow bowls.
2. Chop dark chocolate into small, even pieces. Melt chocolate in the microwave or a double boiler until smooth.
3. Submerge pecan halves in melted chocolate and move around until the pecan is covered.
4. Remove the pecan from the chocolate allowing excess chocolate to drip off. Dip each pecan, flat side down into the chocolate sprinkles to make little cockroach legs.
5. Place pecan on parchment paper sprinkle side down.
6. Continue the same technique for all the pecans, then drop two small round colored sprinkles to the smaller end of all the pecans to make eyes.
7. Let the pecans sit for a few hours so the chocolate can set, remove from parchment paper and store in an airtight container until ready to serve.

Tasty Stuffed Roaches
These nasty, crispy-skinned looking roaches taste really great... The little bit of crunch from the walnuts give them the perfect crisp- roach texture. Mmmm.
Ingredients:
1/3 C. cream cheese, softened
1/4 C. walnuts, chopped semi-fine
20-30 dates, pitted
Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and nuts til well mixed.
2. Gently fill each date with cream cheese/nut mixture

Nice recipe but I've scoured the inter-hyper-web and ended up Google-eyed hunting for Pecan Roaches!! Maybe they only breed in selected regions of Canadonia. 
Can I just use ordinary Scottish roaches without spoiling the result? |
