Gave Monster his first shot at a 20g 'adult' mouse.

He's been taking 2x smalls for a while now so I thought I see how he handled the larger single prey item.

Look what I got!

Got a real constrict too

Took it with no trouble

Bump!

Enjoy!

I'm really glad I decided to get him..

Russian rat snakes get a little bigger then a corn snake (average length is 1.8m), their temp requirements are a little lower (25c) but are otherwise pretty much the same. They stay slender instead of getting fat like a royal. Monster is always out and about and will come out on his own, I just pull the lid off. He's never bitten or gotten 'grumpy' and in the year I've had him never refused to feed (he even ate the day he came home with me).

If you can find one I highly recommend the breed.
