I am warming up to these critters. Mega interesting but still couldn't keep one :s this one it very pretty ;) and wow to the 14 years old! |

Strangely I agree... Didn't squirm about when I saw this pic! She's actually very nice looking and doesn't give me shivers. Still not sure I could hold her though :s What is temperament like with this species? |

Apparently, they can live to 20 years. I've had this one for 8 years, and got her as an adult. They take between 5-7 years to reach adulthood.

They are supposed to be quite docile, but this one isn't. She does tend to throw up a defensive display when I open her tank, and has attacked the mist when I mist her... |

Red got it. They are spinnerets. They produce silk and how it is used (web building, sheeting, egg cases, etc) |
