Hi there, its been a while since i posted on here, our 3 snakes are getting big now :) We have just moved Vader and Pablo into big boy vivs, my only question is about george, now we have bought a viv in readiness of him getting bigger, when would be the best time for him to move into it? Huff my partner wanted to just put him in it with a few more hides but i was worried it might spook him....what do you think we should do? |

Nagini is 4 months and he is in a 3ft viv and loves it! I think all snakes are different and will react different. |

He should be ok at that age/size, just do as your partner said and put in plenty of cover and hides in. |

Apollo wasn't much bigger than that when he moved up to his 'big boy viv'. He has been absolutely fine, seems to love the extra things to explore actually. I would do as other people have suggested and put loads of hides, lots of fake plants and lots of cover in it so that it doesn't seem like a scary open space and give him a try. If he is stressed by it and refuses to eat or his behaviour changes drastically, then put him back into his RUB. |
