Have looked everywhere for a solution to the problem of getting dirty glass from opening hands.

I have seen some finger pulls on eBay for 2.20, but for what it is its hardly worth the price.

Anyone got some good alternatives ?

Have found the suction cups that you get on some hanging reptile plants are quite useful for this. They have a bobbly bit on you can grip with your fingers to slide open the door. Stick well on glass and can double as a stop to stop snakes from opening the door.

Mine came with " handles " made of aquarium sealant, handle shaped blobs of sealant on glass works quite well :-)
