Hey guys can I use a 24watt power compact t5 lighting in a lx 36, what are any issues,

Only asking because I have several lighting units left over from my marine tanks ?

I would be most worried about the heat. Those lights can get very hot. It would need a big cage to protect snake from getting burned by it and it could mess with the temperature gradient in your viv. Personally I wouldn't put a bulb like that in a lx36, if you want light, use LED low heat emitting strips and if you want heat, use a heat mat. It just makes it so much simpler imho.

Yeah LED are cheaper to run and cheaper to buy, or if your minds set on t5 tube then make a guard for it, and possible a stat? Just incase the cool end temps get warmer than they should
