hi everyone, an update on the non feeders. yesterday i finally had enough and felt so sorry for the wee fellas, something had to give. they are now only four grams and thirteen wks old where as the biggest one is thirty two He or she has always been big compaired to clutch mate. The non feeders have lost six grams each so i decided i needed help. got an appointment straight away and the vet thought there is still hope, i was so pleased. so im sending the wee fellas lots of good vibs and really hope they like whats on the menu for dinner! so here goes, the vet gave me a jamie oliver snake receipe

smallest pinkie you can find
tin of sardines
glass bowl
pan boiling water

first i drained the brine from the sardines into the glass bowl
then i added the pinkies and left for about an hr to defrost

Boiling a pan of water i put the glass bowl into it making sure the water level was below the bowls top so water does not go into the bowl
simmered fo a good few minutes till the pinkies where really hot
Remove the bowl remember if you try this use a towel or glove

i then removed the pinkies from the sardine brine and brained then before offering to them.

Everyone showed intrest and one even striked at it then backed off so i just left them to it.

Cant wait to check them tomorrow, fingers crossed

The vet suggested this as i have been trying lot of different things to get them eating over the past three months, including the above however this time he said to try them together instead of individually. if after three more attempts they are still not keen on jamie olivers choice lol then he said he has sucessfully tub fed with good results, and the corns where in worse shape than mine are. i hope it does not come to that but pleased for reasurance.

well unfortunatly the only one to show intrest was my springer spaniel! im not giving up on them just yet as i have now got one more try before heading back to the vet, funny i just watched the latest episode of snake bytes and its about feeding problems. it reasured me a wee bit but the tube feeding which the vet said he would show me how to do it looks very invasive for the wee fellas. what else can i do? on the feeing problems video it said that scenting with lizard is the best to work with corns, has anyone had sucess with this and where would i be able to order a dead lizard from!?

It doesn't have to be a dead lizard i think... but your best bet is to try your local reptile shop...
Good luck with the vets, try nt to get disheartened.
