Just got home from a family outing to the sea side. Managed to find some decent wood that was washed up. Have put in oven at 140 degrees for 20 mins now soaking in the bath in bleach. Then will put in oven again to dry it out. What do you guys think. ?

another beach scavinger! I got rocks though the drift wood was too big I'd give it a rinse before cooking.

I plan on bleaching rinsing then bleaching and rinsing once more before putting in the airing cuboard for a week or two, cant put rocks in the oven aparently they might explode !

Oven then bleached then rinsed then back in oven. If there was anything on it, it's deffo dead. It's in the viv now and looks the part. With the rocks I soaked them in bleach overnight and put them In oven to dry them out. Just made sure I kept an eye on it .

I have heard some say to dry them off outside. But to me that goes against the whole principal of cleaning the rocks in the beginning anything could get back onto the rock when your not looking if left outside.

I'd give it a blast in the oven then stick in your airing cupboard.
