In this picture he was curled up on my lap, and you can kind of see inbetween his scales, if you know what i mean? This may well be normal, i'm not sure.
He isn't 'round' i wouldn't say. Maybe a picture from another angle would help? Just worried about the scale thing.
Any help appreciated thanks. |

When they're curled round like that their scales do come apart slightly as they're stretching round nowt to worry about! If you think he's slightly on the tubby side though, the best ways to tell are by his body shape, like if he's rounded rather than loaf of bread shaped, then he could do with losing a little weight, or if he has 'hips' where his tail starts. |

thanks manda :-) good to know!
I've seen the triangle, loaf and circle diagram and going by that he's just fine. he has slight hips just now but hasn't had a toilet after his mouse on Tuesday lol! they go away after hehe. (I always leave 48hrs after feeding mind) |

A couple of mine have very little hips, I shan't lie they're on diets though, I must exercise them more! Just make sure you don't feed him too much too often and you'll be fine I can't tell how big he is by your pics but my guys that are over 400g usually get fed a medium mouse every 2 weeks |

Really! He's on a large a week! :0 is that too often? It's just what the guy before had been feeding him. He is quite big, 4ft5 and around 600g + (very hard to weigh him on my tiny scales haha) here's a pic of his body

He's nice and chunky but by the shape of him he doesn't look overweight as he does look a nice loaf shape, however personally I would only feed him every two weeks but that's just my personal preference |

He looks good to me but I agree with putting him on a feeding schedule of every 10-14 days rather than weekly. |

He's a beauty, and looks in a nice condition to me. I'd agree with the 10 - 14 days schedule, and then if he's putting on too much weight, you could always reduce the size.
I'm so very jealous of you, he is exactly the type I'd like next ( if I'm ever allowed more ). Lovely yellow there, and he looks a real character as well. :-) |

He's lovely, doesn't look fat to me, just big I think it's a good plan to change his regime though, don't want him getting fat. |
