Welshlamb; where did you get the tree from? I've found that Snakey Snake (Yep, that's his/her name) likes to climb, but the vines we have at the moment can't take his weight lol
You can get the tree in Ikea, it will be in some kind of pot. The only problem is it won't stand up unless something is supporting it. I use the rope and the logs and wedge them in between.
I suppose you could keep it in the plant pot and it would work just fine. Good luck let me know how you get on |

This is my Vivarium at its present state. Still has one more Hide to go into it that I made.
Big Difference since the starting project. (please note the digi therm is out because I had to reset the Mats). I'm dreading cleaning though I must admit.
P.S - the girly flowers were not my idea, but my partners and daughter (if it keeps a snake in the house I'm happy!) |

Yep. Hopefully the plants will be easy to clean. F10 spray them should do the trick? |

I love the idea with the ropes, and also Isoldael's half buried log hides - it gives the viv various levels... Welshlamb, that viv will be a paradise for your snake - but how are you going to find a poop in there? I'm finding that a problem with mine. :-) |

Has he picked a fav spot yet?
I've never seen him so active. He's loving the cool side up in the vines and flowers.
Although he's got plenty of other spots.
With the pooh question, that is going to be a challenge. I think I will just have to sniff my way around. He usually goes in the same spot, but will update you on that. |

Wow! Some impressive set ups from you folks.
Inspiring me to tinker a bit more.
Current set up:
The Rita Hayworth pictures were put up after his repeated escape attempts and conversations of unloading pocketfuls of beech chips in the work yard
The blue 'evening' light that I made.
All the viv lighting is done with cold LED strips routed through a control box and can switch to either or both. Next to mod in a timer! <nerd>

Nice. Do the led change colour based on the temperature in the vivarium? Sorry if I sound daft |

No. It would be awesome, but beyond my technical expertise. I can hack some wires and switches together, but a set up like that would, most likely, beyond my capabilities.

Never say never. I know ikea sell a multi colour led kit but I think it's around 30.00 and for what It does IMO isn't worth it.
My next mission is building a custom viv for George to spend his adulthood in |

I have the multi coloured Ikea LED's and I quite often use a diffferent colour (mainly red, blue or white) to light up the vivs. I have all 3 of mine wired up to the same switch so they are always displaying the same colour.
The colours look a lot better in real life, the pics seem to make them less vivid |
