Here's a short video of my 12 year od daughter holding jake for the first time. This is the first time Abbie has ever held a snake and she did very well
Well done Abbie (and Jake), you have got the hand walking technique absolutely spot on. That movie should be pinned on the forum as a first lesson on 'How to start handling a Corn Snake'.
Next one to try is the figure of eights around your fingers. That's a fun exercise and even my fully grown Woody enjoys it. Eventually he gets dizzy and sits coiled up in my fingers like on a branch.
Looks like you are going to have a lot of fun together.

Thanks peeps, I am very happy with how Abbie did. Yes she seems a natural and made me very proud :)
Jake is just so calm, ive had him three weeks and have handled him most days for 5 mins at a time which seems to be working. I don't handle 48 hours after a feed. Jake has even come to me when I have opened his viv which made my day.
The mods are more then welcome to pin the movie to the forum, I had to search alot on youtube to get tips on handling snakes so a quick link from here would have been nice.
