Recently i bought a amel cornsnake and he has been fine coming out of his viv etc, feeding him once a week seems to be going well too but he keeps pooing outside of his viv, first on the bed and then the floor when leaving him down for a couple of seconds and now on my girlfriends dress!
Its alot of cleaning outside of the tank!

Amel Motley - Tango.
Snow/Amel - Blitz.
Normal Amel - Twist.

Heeheehee........ *coughs sorry :-)

They are good at this unfourtunatly. How long after feeding do you wait until handling. As a rule I won't handle any of my corns until they have done a post feeding poo.

Nothing you can do but go when nature calls. The best thing is not to take out to handle until after the deed is done.

There is a warning first! goes still, stares, lifts tail, you get a few seconds to grap kitchen roll that should have handy, most of the time you will notice!
Welcome to the Poop Club!
Ian doesnt always pay attention especially when he puts Kellogs on my bed he has managed to even poop on the dogs as they are usually on my bed (Kellogs not Ian!)

Frank always poohs on me without fail! I now take it as a form of flattery!!!! Seems he loves me that much!!! joking aside I will try and wait til he poohs inside before handling as it is annoying and hard to wash!

I find it a darn sight easier to have sonny poop out the viv, he's got his own towel and i usually follow him around with kitchen roll till the deed is done, but recently he hasnt been as regular as he used to, anything to worry about?

My advice would be to only handle him after he's done his business. Failing that, when you get him out try putting him in a spare tank for a 5 minute run-around before spending time handling him - he may poo in there from the excitement of being handled and being in a new place.

The only other thing I'd say is don't handle him if you don't have the time to clean up afterwards, and don't wear anything that you don't want to get poo on. I made that mistake when showing my friend my old corn just before we went out for the night. She crapped all over a £100 shirt.

No, its just as he's getting bigger he's using up more of the mouse and digesting more efficiently. What size is he on?
Dawn would poop a lot when I first moved her up a size but as she "grew into it" she pooped less and less. Now she is on two large a month its mainly urate and only a little poop.
