Hopefully getting a male black morph African Brown (that's very likely not the correct way of describing it).
The place I'm getting them from has some eggs incubating at the moment, due to hatch about mid october, parents are both black morphs. It's just a case of waiting to see what slithers out of those eggs

Wish list: Taiwanese Beauty; Reverse Okeetee.

I didn't know if 'Nigerian Black' was the correct term for the morph, but that seems to be the one being used.
Am I right in saying Nigerian Black is a just a colour morph of the African Brown species, selectively bred to be very, very dark brown?
Or is it a seperate species within the Boaedon genus?
There isn't as much info on housies and their morphs as there is with corns, it gets a bit confusing. I can't seem to find out much about them

To be honest I don't know either, its only that I've seen them referred to as that. I just assumed they were a black phase of the brown house snake, but I wouldn't like to say. I've noticed they are both classed as Fuliginosus, maybe its from a different area? You getting him from AC Snakes by any chance?

If you check out the lamprophis forum theres quite a bit of info on there.

Oh,and thanks peeps. Falice, next time you go in ask to have a look at it

Yup, AC Snakes seem to be popular breeders and I've heard good things. Their Nigerian Black laid on 18/08 so I'm hoping to get one from that clutch. Will have to wait and see how the eggs/hatchlings get on.

I'll check out that forum, thank you

They are great breeders. I got both Ollivander and Petal,my hognose from them. Really down to earth and only too happy to help with any quearies (have a feeling I've mispelt that)
Picked up another new addition recently (pics to go up soon) and it turns out she was bred by them too.

Fingers crossed you get what you want from the breeding.

Its a quiet forum, not been on myself in a while due to the internet I had but its good for housie stuff
