Hey guy's/girl's =)

I have had my Snakey for just over a week from the Kempton show, she's about 6 weeks old I think and had a pinkie last monday and had a shed on the 16th...

I tried feeding her on Monday but didn't take it =s =(... She hasn't pooped either n doesn't looking like she's ready to shed??

She's in a large flat faunarium is out watching quite a bit so thought she was settling in well =s...

I did put the pinkie on a large lid, would this have put here off??

Thanks for reading and any help =)

Not to worry!
It can take a while for snakes to settle down in a new home and start feeding properly; even hatchlings can go a surprisingly long time without food!

Have you been handling her at all?

She will be fine she will eat when she needs to, try bathing her in the sink (and keeping a close eye) she might have a batch of snakey constipation and the warm water and movement will help that problem along if she hasnt been.

Here's something I learned from the people here.
You shouldn't reallyyyy be handling your snakey untill 48 hours after they have been fed.
They will throw pinkie parts up all over you ;0

Could have gave the others a turn =p but yes!!! She has eaten!! didn't even take long for her to find it and yum yum yum

She kept using her hide at the cold end so I swapped them over and she's been up the hot end a lot more keeping warm!! And she's been up at the side of her faun non stop looking to get out so I think she's settled in as I can get real close without her hiding =D

Hopefully she will keep it up and I can start handling her!!

Worry over for another week =p

She didn't eat again

Is it possible that she likes feeding every two weeks and not every week?? Is this bad?

Also do you guys think it would be ok to handle her or should I leave her until she's eating every week?

Thanks for reading =)

Aww, bless her. I really wouldn't worry too much.
As long as you've left her for the 48 hour post-feed then it won't hurt to handle her.
Word of warning tho'....they sometimes poo on the first handling session after a meal!
It's lovely that you care so much and it's good that you ask questions rather than keeping quiet. It's the best way to learn and also a good for reassurence when necessary.
If you feel it would help her to get to know your 'smell' pop an old sock in your top for the day then put it in her favourite place. She will slowly get the message that you're a safe familiar smell and nothing to worry about.

Hayls, I'm almost identical to you really, I worry as much as you do but thanks to the good people of this forum I've come to realise not to worry over most stuff. I've still got a very long way to go in becoming as relaxed as some people but I've made a good start. My corn is 2 years old I've had her for about two months, she's in the same boat as hatchie not eating, except this one won't eat mice. She didn't eat for a month not so long back and I was worried sick, but thanks to the guys on this forum they helped me out so much, mentally I mean. still trying to get her off ratpups and onto mice. Fussy snake.
