Hi,

I've just found out that I can get mice (dead!) for free from the animal facility at the uni where I'm doing a PhD. They are breed on site for medical research, and the ones I can have are surplus that are non GM and they are of course killed humanely. Can anyone see a problem with feeding these to a corn? And will they be ok home frozen? I think I will be getting them fresh.

Thanks

Potentially straight away as they could go in the freezer at work, then brought home on ice. I could even put them in liquid nitrogen for instant freeze but not sure if that would damage them?

Go for it, JenJen, I wouldn't be surprised if those mice were also better looked after and fed than the ones intended for shops, the universities have to follow quite a strict rules when it comes to looking after animals, I'm sure. Oh, and I don't know what TANSTAAFL means... shall have to look it up...
