I brought a new snake the other day who is absolutely lovely, only problem is that she has a retained eye cap from her last shed.
The guy I got her her gave her a bath that day I got her it hasn't come off, I've been told that you can added a small amount of primrose oil to the bath water to help remove retained sheds but I wanted to double check this before trying it?
I'm also thinking of giving her a damp hide for her next shed - so any advice on the best way to do so whilst still in a tiny RUB would be great!

You can also pick her up and make her move through a damp wash cloth / kitchen towel. That always did the trick for any retained skin with my snakes :)

Ditto on Isoldael, I usually bathe and let them play in a damp cloth, they like the rubbing even when not in shed!
How big is she and the RUB? I mean if she is still a wee one, couldnt you use a sandwich container and even if you threw in a crab water spounge or...some wet moss. bigger snake, same ideas I guess its really dependant on your RUB

She's a diddy little thing! she was hatched in may but is only about 10cm long and not much fatter than a hatching (she was a late stater). the box is pretty much the same as those crickets ect are brought in at pet shops - so miles to small for any damp hide i've come across so far!

10cm? That's sooo tiny. All my hatchies were bigger than that at birth o.o
