Just checked the probe in the hide and it was 27.6, the outer substrate was 29.3

And you have an extra 5 months experience than me.. So you win on that one lol

Corns are pretty hardy, nothing in what you posted would make me worry over much.. I think the question is more 'what's best?'

tho you can see that the hide is ' cooler'

I use a mat and bulb. My mat is set to 28.5 and the bulb to 28 at ground (is almost 30 at the guard). Gives them belly heat for food but also ambient warmth for when they wanna climb and get warmer

But a lot of people just use bulbs or just use mats. It's a personal preference. The dim red glow on my bulb is quite nice for night time viewing

Thanks for the reassurance. I've decided to keep her in it, she seems perfectly happy, the temps are all fine. Everytime I try get her out, she sneaks off into the plants and wraps in them to make life difficult for me lol.

I must have spent about a month decorating it all trying to make it perfect. Putting as much as I could to keep her entertained as well as being able to hide. Wasn't that expensive thanks to dunelm mill and a couple of bamboo canes.

Thanks for all of your replies.
