So sonny had his first regurge after his first attempt at eating 2 pinkies. He took then both fine but a day later I found them next to his water bowl. Should I go back down to 1 pinkie for now? He's 23g and 53cm long.

Yeah, leave for 10 days, no handling, only water changes, then try again on a single pink. Give it a few more weeks, then try again on the doubles.
