Hi can anyone advise me ref feeding as all eggs have hatched so when do i give them their first feed ??? |

as far as i kno its after they've had they're first shed, im no expert so wait till someone else comes along ;) |

they are starting to feed now but i have 4 babies that have shed but will not eat is there anything i can do to encourage them or is there anything different i can give them??? |

You can try to open the pinky's skulls (hhhhm.... braiiins) which is apparently quite interesting for those snakes. Also, don't be afraid to leave the pinkys in the RUB with your hatchies - some are just a bit too nervous to eat with people watching. Sometimes, putting the RUB in the dark with the pinky in also helps to get them to feed. |

Braining is always a good one, if you slice the skull clean in half down the middle using a knife when frozen, it's a lot less icky than doing it defrosted, and usually the brains stay in the skull when defrosting. Then you can give a wee little squeeze with the tongs before offering, just to get the scent going. But thats what I do with my finnicky Hognose girl :) |
